It’s good when the stones are bright

Lies And DeceptionsThroughout the Pentateuch (the first five books, written by Moses), an almost countless array of sins are condemned. But among the reasons for the five major offerings for sins, lies, deception and bearing false witness ranked among the worst of all. The God of Truth hates lies, deception and false testimony. Liars are reckoned among the worst of sinners. Only speak truth.

Leviticus 6:2-6 - "If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour... or hath deceived his neighbour; or ...sweareth falsely; ...he shall bring his trespass offering unto the LORD."

Compensation For The PriestsGod stipulated that the priests should keep a portion of the burnt offerings, meat offerings, peace offerings, sin offerings, and trespass offerings for themselves. Prophetically, this sets a divine precedent that all ministers of all ages should be compensated for their services in the ministry.

Leviticus 7:35 - "This is the portion ...out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest's office; Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, ...by a statute for ever throughout their generations."

CongregationOnce the Tabernacle was fully prepared and Moses had thoroughly given instructions pertaining to all the service of the Tabernacle, he called the people together to the door of the Tabernacle to witness the consecration of the Priesthood. This was the first occasion for all of Israel to attend a holy service at the house of God, but it set a precedent. Even in the New Testament, we are not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together at God's house.

Leviticus 8:3 - "And gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation."

The EphodThe High Priest wore an elaborate vestment called the ephod. Two onyx stones on the shoulders contained the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. Twelve precious stones were mounted on the front on blue, red, and white embroidered linen. Also called the Urim and Thummin, when the Priest consulted God before the Ark of the Covenant, the stones illuminated if God blessed, or gave a "yes" answer. Dull stones meant God's cursing, or a "no" answer.

Leviticus 8:7 - "...and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith."

Gods Temple

PRAYER - "Edifying Prayers".

Being baptized in the name of the Jesus Christ and filled with His spirit makes us the temple of God. His laws are written in our heart to lead us in His way that we might not sin against Him.  So to understand His will for us we should study His word and apply it to every aspect of our lives. With these powerful tools active in our spirit, soul and body, we are released to move in higher dimensions of prayer as the Spirit wills it.

Romans 8:26 - "...the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Let's read the story.Bible

PRINCIPALS - "Dinner with an Angel"

Abraham was wise. When angels showed up at his door, he knew something divine was going on. He instantly put extreme hospitality into motion.   Always be prepared to go to the next level whenever opportunity presents itself.  Usually it’ll happen unexpectedly be ready.  Remembering on one occasion we had an evangelist and his wife staying over with us. We were sitting in the living room chatting when a divine presence over shadowed the room. A few hours later which seemed as minutes clarity in God’s work was given.  It’s not necessary to have these kinds of meetings to walk with God but oh if you ever are blessed to be in one you’ll never forget it.

Genesis 18:8 - "And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he
had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat."  Let's read the story. Bible
PRINCIPLES - "Injustice"
Modern culture worships overachievers. Two dozen millionaires play baseball to entertain 30,000 people in air-conditioned stadiums with television screens the size of cornfields. That mentality has migrated into religion. Mega-churches empty smaller churches with pseudo-Christian agendas, pop-culture teachings, music played by pseudo-Christian musicians, and Hollywood-style entertainment - not because they have exemplary relationships with God but because of stellar talents and celebrity status. "Ordinary" Christians who live by their Bibles, pray and live godly lives become impertinent.

Ecclesiastes 10:7 - "I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth."

  PROPHECIES - "Blessing Time"
Isaac was old and blind, and his days were numbered. He called Esau to prepare a special meal, after which he would give his eldest son the family blessing. But Esau had already despised the birthright, sold it to Jacob, and married a Hittite woman. Rebekah and Jacob carefully intercepted the blessing. They "pulled out all the stops" for Jacob. If you want the blessing, fight for it.

Genesis 27:4 - "And make me savoury meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die."  Let's read the story. Bible

PRAYER - "Abraham's Prayer"
God called Abram to forsake all and follow Him. At Bethel, God made great promises that would eventually bring enormous blessings. Meanwhile, a famine drove Abraham down to Egypt temporarily. When he returned to Canaan, he sought out the place where God met him in the beginning. There, he called on the Lord, attempting to restore his original contact with God. Smart move! Always go back to God.

         PRINCIPALS - "Canaan"
The significance of the land of Canaan dates back to Noah. Ham discovered Noah drunk, then told his brothers. Noah blessed Shem and Japheth for protecting his modesty, but cursed Ham and his son Canaan. Canaan would become Shem's servant. As Shem's descendant, Abraham would be Canaan's master. That is why God gave the land of Canaan to Abraham. It included Sidon, Jerusalem, Gaza, Sodom, Galilee, Damascus and much more.
Genesis 17:8 - "I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, ...all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession."Read the story. Bible

PRINCIPLES - "Abide in the Vine"
A parent's genes are in each child, so the child resembles its parents. In the born-again believer, God's Spirit and Word produces the nature of God in us. Because we are grafted into His divine life and character, God's holiness and righteousness appears in both our looks and our character. For best results, abide in the vine!
John 15:4 - "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me." Read the story. Bible
PROPHECIES - "Abimelech's Dream"
God often speaks prophetically to people in dreams and visions. When Abimelech, King of Gerar, took Sarah from Abraham's household, he was not informed that she was Abraham's wife. But God set the record straight. Every woman in his household was barren as long as Sarah was there. When Abimelech obeyed the dream, the curse was lifted.
Genesis 20:3 - "But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man's wife."
